Layouts Collection
I felt a small album of sorts couldn't hurt since I usually just delete all the files and let my layouts be forgotten. But I like some of them. So! For the records, for the memories, and -- haha-- because it makes me feel good.

Journal: [info]tothecrossroads.

Designed: November 2007.

Notes: Because [info]andirealized told me to go crazy with a layout. ;D Photo manipulation to the extreme! It started with a sole screencap from Supernatural's "Crossroad Blues" episode featuring the guitar player alone, but I wanted a different setting than in the screencap. The brick wall, tiki poster, and smoke cloud were all elements I pieced together. The neon sign is a combination of three individual signs. It's definitely one of my favorite layouts to date.

Journal: [info]kooeykooeykooey.

Designed: October 2007.

Notes: Chuck-themed! Just browsing around The Nerd Herd spoof page had me wanting to see if I could make a website design of my own just for kicks. The running briefcase man was 'drawn' up completely in Photoshop for the sake of clean lines. Same goes for the Nerd Herd logo. I admit to referencing The Geek Squad for ideas, just because -- being a real website -- it was a little more professional-looking. I liked the end result enough, so I just turned it into a header image.

Journal: Mysteria RPG.

Designed: October 2007.

Notes: For the Supernatural-based RPG that [info]darkhuntressx is the brains behind and I co-mod with her and Mark. This was another round of taking many, many elements and fusing them into a scene. Keeping in mind the horror-factor of the Supernatural show, I kept it dark with silhouettes composing most of the scenery. The bright light sources where an attempt to hint at other-worldly things.

Journal: [info]archilfugs.

Designed: August 2007.

Notes: Something I meant to be very, very simple in design. I ended up 'drawing' the broken glass and window all in Photoshop because there weren't any images on the internet that I could use such that the background could be pure white. The idea was that the computer crashed through the screen, meaning that there couldn't be any definite boundaries to the image. Fortunately, I didn't have to 'draw' the laptop. I might've cried by then. Still, it's another of my favorites!

Journal: Memories 1975 RPG.

Designed: January 2007.

Notes: Lex and Megs told me they wanted something that looked student-y and personal. So! Personal it was made. It's a layout that honestly belongs to me and me alone. Every thing seen -- even the desk itself and all items on it -- is mine. I set it all up, dodged my family's questioning and snapped a picture to edit. The scraps of paper were from other pictures I took. And, no, my desk isn't that messy usually. ;D

Journal: [info]contingent_hero.

Designed: ? 2006.

Notes: There was a time when I followed Heroes and I did love Peter Petrelli an awful lot. I started with the umbrella picture -- kept to the rainy feel with water drops, water ripples, and light streaks. Tossed in some Sting lyrics after, and then called it a day.

Journal: [info]contingent_hero.

Designed: ? 2005.

Notes: When Windwaker came out for Gamecube, I was all over putting Zelda in a layout for my journal. There's a lot of layering swirls over each other and the main image, but I wanted it all clean lines to keep that cartoony feel of the game. Again, this was a point when putting song lyrics over images was just a thing I felt in style, so there's some Waking Ashland in there.

Seriously... I wish I had half the talent you do... just because you make such pretty- pretty's. You know I'm totally digging the Zelda one. You should have done one for Twilight... *le sigh*. Do you take commisions??? O.o :D

And as for our meet-up for said Fic (OMG I CANNOT WAIT!), I will be late. The in-laws want to paint their room, which means I'll be disconnected for most of the day. Expect me on late... but I'll get on as soon as they are done. *rolls eyes* (I have to wait now... @!$$^%#%^##@!!!)

I've had seven or so years working with Photoshop and tinkering with effects, so it's really practice. My early stuff would've made you cry. LOL. I could do a Twilight one, for sure! Not so sure about a commission, but I can definitely whip something up in the spirit of the holidays and gift-giving. ;D

Aw, well, I'm going with my mom out to the mall now and I'll be online later, anywho. Maybe it works out in a strange way? :)
